Getting to Xunantunich
....
Any of duPlooy Travel's inland packages can include a guided tour of this site, located across the Benque Viejo Road from the small Maya village of San Jose Succotz . Here a hand-cranked ferry will take you across the Mopan River. From there, it's a mile uphill to the site which can be accessed on foot, horseback or in a vehicle. Open

Xunantunich can also be reached on Horseback or by Hiking from duPlooy's Jungle Lodge, which takes you along a canopied jungle trail, through lush fields and picturesque countryside.
